For Orthoflex Saddles with Contoured Skirts
Our Load Leveler Pads are the best for your horse for
several reasons: They have built-in wither clearance so there is no chance they can
work down tight over the withers, pinching and compressing the top of the spinal
processes, and they won't wrinkle in the middle, because they are shaped like a
horse's body. The thin laminate construction allows the Ortho-Flex
patented saddle skirts to move and work with your horse's back.
"Balance Shims" are an integral part of our saddling system, and they
come with every Load Leveler Pad. These 1/4" foam shims come in two sets
of three for each side of your pad. They are inserted into soft upholstery
leather pockets with Velcro closures on the top of the pad. The shims
allow your saddle to sit level on your horse's back by filling in any low or
"hollow" areas behind the withers. The Load
Leveler Pad has a extremely durable nylon loop
pile material on top that is breathable, color fast and water resistant. In the
center is soft 1/2" thick top quality polyester felt, and next to the horse
is 3/4" nap real Sheepskin or Poly Fleece. Order Western Pads a
minimum of 2" longer than the overall length of saddle shown on the saddle
order form by seat size.
